So named for Sukhumvit Road that runs diagonally through its centre
Sukhumvit is the largest neighbourhood in Bangkok. As such, there
is a larger selection and greater variety of hotels, restaurants,
shops and nightclubs in Sukhumvit than anywhere else. It is truly
an area with something for everyone. Hotels in this area are primarily
3-5 star properties and with the BTS Skytrain running along Sukhumvit
Road most hotels are within a short walk to a BTS station making
Sukhumvit an ideal location from which to explore Bangkok and a
very good choice for first time visitors.
In addition to the wide selection of hotels, Sukhumvit now has quite
a few serviced apartments that are well suited for long staying
guests on business, leisure and/or medical visits. FYI, in order
